The new Mondraker Arid in alloy shares the same design brief as the Mondraker Arid Carbon, focused on creating a bike that can excel in different configurations and situations depending on the rider’s needs. Both bikes share the same geometry, with emphasis on comfort and a capability to inspire rider confidence in even rugged off-road terrain.
Our proprietary Stealth Evo technology 6061 aluminum alloy provides the necessary strength for the toughest of gravel routes and trails, while not giving up anything when it comes to rider comfort. Even the seat stay design is faithfully carried through, a signature element that ties both the aluminum and carbon ranges together and helps to give both bikes the same feel out on the trail, despite the difference in materials and construction.
That’s the best way to describe the way the welds on the new Mondraker Arid benefit the rider. Thanks to Smooth Welding technology and hydroformed tubing, you get better vibration damping, reduced stress on the aluminum, and a far more comfortable ride over rugged terrain.
Smooth Welding Technology prevents overheating during the welding process. By maintaining a more balanced welding temperature, it eliminates inconsistencies in the stiffness of affected areas, making the frame’s response more predictable under stress and tension. This also allows for controlled flex in key areas without compromising durability. Altogether, these features enable the new Mondraker Arid frame to manage vibrations from rough trail and terrain more effectively.
Mondraker Arid S with mechanical Shimano GRX, or Mondraker Arid R with wireless SRAM Apex AXS. They both work seamlessly with the frame, carbon fork and the same finishing kit, including the wheels. Gearing across the drivetrains is nearly identical with 40T chainrings, except Shimano runs 12-speed (10-45) while SRAM is 12-speed (11-44).
With mounts for up to six bottles, there’s almost no end to the places you can go. Whether you're really deep into distance training or out on a week-long adventure, the frame and fork include dedicated mounting points to help secure everything you need to fuel your adventures. And if you encounter a bit of rain or mud, we didn’t forget you. The Mondraker Arid has fender mounting points, too!
After almost 25 years of building world-class mountain bikes, we know that the right tires are essential to ensure comfort, fun and control in the dirt. That’s why we start with stock 45mm tires and offer extra clearance so you can go up to 50mm when you need to. Everyone has their own take on gravel riding, and we don’t want a lack of grip to hold you back.
The frame’s distinct design includes cables routed internally through the headset for a clean, race-ready look. We also included MTB-style molded rubber frame protectors. And let’s not forget the BBT47 threaded bottom bracket, round 27.2mm seatpost and mounting points for up to six water bottles and other accessories.
With five frame sizes, plus handlebars and stems matched to each size, the new Mondraker Arid is designed to make you feel right at home the moment you hop on. Internal cable routing helps to keep everything clean and tidy, and makes mounting handlebar bags or accessories easy, too.
