Crafty was born ten years ago, coinciding with the arrival of the first generation of the Bosch Performance Line CX: the first motor created specifically for e-mtb. It was then that we saw the opportunity to develop an electric bike designed from its core for mountain biking, our specialty.

Since then, Crafty has evolved to become Mondraker’s reference e-bike.

The most versatile. The most complete. The bike capable of climbing the most technical trails and riding with confidence and stability on the fastest and most demanding descents. Mondraker’s Zero Suspension system and Forward Geometry, optimised for the Crafty platform are combined to maximise traction, stability and control on any terrain.

Since its launch, the Crafty has become the benchmark of our e-mtb range. The Mondraker bike that thousands of riders have chosen to discover that an e-bike can be just as much fun going downhill as it is going uphill.

Crafty was born with a very clear idea: to create an e-bike capable of performing equally well in any situation. A bike for linking descents without worrying about how long and steep they are and for keeping on pedalling when the ride gets tough. A bike with an unrivalled riding feel that you can get the most out of, whatever your style.

This time, we wanted to create an Unlimited edition worthy of its legacy. An exclusive bike. A Crafty created to celebrate ten years of evolution, ten years of innovation and ten years of a bike that remains the most complete in our entire range.

The Crafty has always held a unique place within Mondraker.

It sits right in the middle between our agile, shorter-travel bikes and our most extreme downhill machines. Crafty sits between these two worlds, with 150mm of travel and a platform designed to offer the best possible balance.

That’s why it has become our most popular e-bike and one of the leading names in the e-mtb category. A capable, balanced bike to enjoy whatever trails you like to ride.

Unlimited means going one step further.

It is the name we reserve for the most exclusive bikes we have ever created. Models produced in very limited numbers and designed to be one-of-a-kind. Crafty Unlimited ICON is the most exclusive expression of our most iconic bike.

Each unit has been created to mark the Crafty’s anniversary and celebrate the model most of our customers have chosen over the last decade. A limited edition accompanied by exclusive features that reinforce this bike’s unique character.

In terms of graphic design, the Crafty Unlimited icon concept came together naturally, driven by what defines the Crafty: performance, precision, and a strong technical identity. The idea was to distil the bike into its purest expression.

A satin black base creates a timeless foundation, while metallic-holographic lacquer and graphic details introduce a sense of progression with restraint. Selective polished aluminium, chrome and gold accents highlight key mechanical components, reinforcing the engineering at its core.

The process was as much about removing as adding - keeping only what is truly meaningful. The final touch, the painter’s signature, introduces a subtle human element to a highly engineered object, making each frame uniquely crafted.

Ten years on, the Crafty remains our benchmark. And this Unlimited is our way of celebrating it.

BOSCH CX AND CX-R MOTORS NOW WITH 120 Nm*

Crafty’s history has always been one of evolution. Crafty has been the benchmark among high-performance e-bikes for one very simple reason: it has always managed to strike the perfect balance between power, control and riding feel.

That is why this platform makes the most of the Bosch Performance Upgrade 2.0 for the Bosch CX-R motor.

From May 2026, this update will allow the maximum motor torque to be increased from 100 Nm to 120 Nm on any 5th-generation Bosch CX or CX-R motor, as well as increasing the maximum pedal assistance from 400% to up to 600%.

More torque to tackle the toughest climbs. More push in technical sections. More acceleration for those tricky sections. More power when the terrain gets tougher.

But the difference isn’t just in the numbers.

*All Bosch Gen 5 CX and CX-R motors will be eligible for the update.

A bike capable of staying at the top thanks to a tried-and-tested platform and a reliable motor that now goes one step further.

A UNIQUE SPEC WORTHY OF AN ICON.

There’s no better way to celebrate than by taking the Crafty to the limit.

CRAFTY CARBON UNLIMITED ICON

The Crafty Unlimited ICON is made from Stealth Air Full Carbon and features the latest 5th-generation Bosch Performance Line CX-R SMART SYSTEM motor and an 800 Wh removable battery, with the possibility to add a 250 Wh* PowerMore if you need maximum range. And when it’s time to charge, you can remove the battery and do so conveniently off the bike.

The 29” Öhlins RXF 38 M.3 fork with 160mm travel, together with the Öhlins TTX22 M.2 coil shock, provide maximum sensitivity, control and shock absorption on any terrain.

The new DT Swiss Hybrid HXC 1200 carbon wheels combine stiffness, precision and lightness to deliver the best performance both on the climbs and the descents.

The Trickstuff Maxima brakes, made entirely from CNC-machined 7075 aluminium and fitted with 4-piston callipers and 203mm rotors, guarantee exceptional braking power and maximum control on the most demanding descents.

The build is completed with the RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost and the SRAM XX Eagle AXS T-Type drivetrain, a combination designed to deliver maximum performance, maximum precision and a riding experience worthy of a bike created to become an icon.

From May 2026, all 5th-generation Bosch CX and CX-R motors on our Crafty, Level, Scree, Chaser, Chaser X, Prime and Prime X models will be eligible for the Bosch Performance Upgrade 2.0, which increases maximum torque up to 120 Nm and boosts pedal assistance up to 600%.
