Sam Hockenhull nickname “Dave”


Do you have a favourite trail or terrain? What makes it special to you? 

Favourite trail is Royal hills in France, real flowy and huge jumps !!


Do you have a favourite movie genre or specific film that you could watch over and over?

SNATCH ultimate film.


Are there any hobbies outside of mountain biking that you're passionate about? 

Motocross and football. As a youngster I was all about football but as I got older I started to turn towards 2 wheels!


What do you love most about the MTB culture and community?

I think how riders always give you motivation to keep challenging your abilities and improve.


How would you describe your riding style in three words?

Flowy, creative, playful

Looking ahead, what’s one goal you have for your riding career or personal life? 

To enjoy every opportunity I get, it’s been amazing how many places mountain biking has taken me so far, and I look forward to visiting new places in the future.


If you could design your dream bike, what would it look like?

I would love to get a custom paint job on a bike and think I would design it to look like an old school F1 car.


Do you have a favourite destination for vacations or trips? 

Portugal, we’ve been going there as a family since I was young!


Do you have any personal heroes or role models growing up? 

Role model when I was younger was Wayne Rooney the footballer!! I was obsessed with him!
