A new beginning. A new era of ebikes. Born and bred with all of our character, identity and feeling. A Mondraker by definition, but more manoeuverable, nimble and even faster than ever before. A new cycle with a new leader.
Three years ago, we started a project with a mission. Just one. To create a new generation of ebikes that would redefine the current concept of mountain biking. A new category which would enhance the very best version of yourself as a rider, to make you faster, everywhere. Powerful yet silent. Stable yet agile. A mission we dubbed NEAT and which has led to the first Light e-MTB in our history. With this model we’re opening the doors to a new category with the TQ-HPR50 motor, an integrated removable 360W battery, a full carbon fibre frame and a ready to roll weight of under 18kg. Mission accomplished. Now it’s your turn. Mondraker NEAT.
The NEAT range shares the same carbon fibre frame but with three different builds to choose from: NEAT R, NEAT RR and NEAT RR SL. All three come with a Fox Float X shock and Fox 36 fork, 4 piston brakes and Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR tyres with EXO+ sidewalls.
The first model in the line-up is the NEAT R, with a Fox 36 29 Float GRIP EVOL Performance fork, SRAM GX Eagle transmission, SRAM G2 R brakes, ONOFF Pija seatpost of up to 200mm travel (depending on size) and Mavic E-Crossride 29 wheels.
The intermediate model in the range is the NEAT RR, with a Fox 36 29 Float GRIP2 Factory Kashima fork, SRAM GX Eagle AXS transmission, SRAM Level Bronze Stealth brakes, Fox Transfer Factory Kashima seatpost and Mavic E-DeeMax SL 29 wheels.
The top of the range model is the NEAT RR SL, with a Fox 36 29 Float GRIP2 Factory Kashima fork, SRAM XX Eagle T-Type AXS transmission, RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost and Mavic E-CrossMax Carbon XL R wheels.
All three come with an ONOFF Krypton handlebar and stem combo (only the RR y RR SL models come with the carbon fibre handlebar) and ONOFF grips come as stock across the range.
After several years of taking stock of the state of the market and deciding that it just didn’t convince us, we developed the NEAT project utilizing an innovative system of motor and battery, more than capable of satisfying the needs of this sector and with which we felt we could identify as riders. We understood that weight was a key factor for this new platform, but we couldn’t let it compromise the performance of the whole package, the suspension travel or the handling.
Mondraker has managed to merge the best of both worlds by blending our two category leading bikes: the Enduro FOXY CARBON and e-MTB Enduro CRAFTY CARBON. 2024 then, sees the arrival of NEAT. A model with unmistakable aesthetics, characteristics and identity which sets a benchmark in this new category.
NEAT is our vision of what the Light e-MTB category should be, while bringing the character which defines all Mondraker bikes into the mix.
NEAT is the product of our desire to blur the line between traditional MTBs and full power eMTBs, creating a bike which truly offers the best of both worlds. A 150mm enduro bike with a 160mm fork, the lower limit travel for maximum performance. Light, but without sacrificing anything in the process.
A large part of the identity of the NEAT is its frame made with STEALTH AIR FULL CARBON technology and weighing in at only 2300 grams. Combined with a 160mm Fox 36 fork (on all available kits) the frame boasts FORWARD GEOMETRY and a new configuration of the ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM kinematics with a Fox Float X shock providing 150mm of rear wheel travel.
The package is completed with an ebike specific wheel and tyre package, 4 piston brakes and the quietest and most advanced motor on the market: the TQ-HPR50, combined with an integrated removable 360Wh battery. We didn’t rush this project, but the results speak for themselves: The NEAT is here. The NEAT is a reality.
This new Light e-MTB category has led us to develop a new suspension kinematic specifically conceived for this type of bike.
The NEAT’s suspension system showcases a new kinematic configuration in which the shock is located lower down in the frame, with a more compact, lighter and stiffer swingarm. This optimisation provides greater sensitivity at the start of the shock’s stroke and better overall shock-absorption deeper into its travel.
The more compact swingarm design allows for longer seatposts, more space between water bottles, tools and range extenders, and a better balance between weight and rigidity.
NEAT is the expression of a new design concept. The layout is more angular, cleaner, especially around the headtube. This area, where the headtube joins both the top tube and the down tube, defines the identity of all Mondrakers, and expresses from this model on a new look for the brand.
The defining lightness of the frame (only 2300 grams) together with the redesigned swingarm which is lighter and more compact, make NEAT the lightest ever MTB ebike in the history of Mondraker, weighing in at under 18kg for the RR SL build.
NEAT comes with category specific geometry and counts on the best that the FOXY CARBON and CRAFTY CARBON offer in their respective categories.
64.5º head angle. As slack as a FOXY CARBON in the LOW setting.
76.5º effective seat tube angle. 1º steeper than the FOXY CARBON.
450mm chainstays. 5mm shorter than the CRAFTY CARBON and 5mm longer than the FOXY CARBON.
BB height of 348mm (-25mm drop). The perfect height for an ebike of its class.
Reach of 450/470/495/515mm (S/M/L & XL). Reach figures inspired by the FOXY CARBON and CRAFTY CARBON.

The TQ-HPR50 system comprises a very compact motor which we’ll talk about later on, a 360Wh removable internal battery located in the downtube, a 2” display fitted into the top tube and an optional 160Wh range extender. The whole system weighs in at 3.9Kg, 1850g the motor and 1830g the 360Wh battery. The optional TQ range extender weighs 950g.
Combining 3 natural-feeling levels of assistance and running almost silently, the TQ-HPR50 provides up to 300W of power and 50Nm of torque. A multitude of variables will always come into play when talking about range, but a rider of average weight (around 75Kg) can expect to be able to complete a ride of between 3-4 hours, with more than 1000m of altitude gain, switching between ECO and MID modes, and ride anywhere from 40 to 50km. The optional range extender can increase that by up to 50%.
The scope of adjustment available to fine-tune the parameters of the TQ-HPR50 motor is one of the characteristics that best fits our philosophy here at Mondraker. Via the TQ E-Bike smartphone app and Bluetooth connection you can control all the parameters of the motor to an almost limitless extent.
There are 3 modes available to let you quickly flick through the different levels of assistance provided by the motor: ECO, MID and HIGH. Within each of these modes you have a further 3 parameters which can be individually adjusted via the app: Max power, Assistance, and Pedal Response.
-Maximum Power: Adjustable between 30W and 300W (the maximum amount of power provided by the motor at maximum performance).
-Assistance: The percentage max assistance level of the motor, adjustable from 25% up to 200%.
-Pedal Response: The regulation of the delivery of power from the moment you first start pedalling.
The possibility of being able to regulate each mode individually, each mode being adjustable by a further three parameters, means that not only is the number of possible permutations enormous, but more importantly that you can set up your preferences to a tee, thus improving your riding experience.
NEAT is a new category of bike for Mondraker. A category that was until now unrealised, falling between the flexibility of a FOXY CARBON and the capability of a CRAFTY CARBON. NEAT walks the perfect line between the two, for any type of rider and any type of riding.
-Riders who are making the move from a traditional mountain bike or who are just starting out on an ebike: NEAT lets you ride faster, farther, and descend with more aplomb and more safely than ever before, without sacrificing the feelings and handling of a traditional non-ebike MTB.
-Riders who are making the move from a full power ebike: NEAT is going to make your ride fleeter of foot, more agile, and faster reacting on climbs without giving up the traits of an ebike on the descents.
