The races for PMX Racing started on Thursday, with the Junior races of Sara Mendez and Francesc Barber, both with clear options of achieving a good result. Unfortunately, bad luck was a main theme during both races for them. Sara suffered a mishap at the start that relegated her to the last positions making it nearly impossible to regain positions or even deliver a good performance. Despite this, she fought until the last moment showing great skills and pride that will surely lead to good results. In the case of Francesc, a fall when he was fifth also made him lose any chance of a medal.
On the same Thursday afternoon, Bec McConnell started her race in the Short Track. Bec managed a really good sixth position after fighting until the last lap for the bronze medal.
On Saturday it was the turn of the XCO events, with Jofre, Bec and Dan. Jofre was the first to start racing. The Catalan was among the first positions during the first two laps when he suffered a fall. Despite this, he fought until the end achieving a well-deserved fifth position. A good result that could have been better if he hadn't suffered this crash.
Bec did practically the same as Jofre. Always in the first positions and opting for the bronze medal, she had to put her foot down a couple of times in the last laps, finally relegating her to seventh position. The Aussie was happy with her result seeing the performance level of her opponents and the difficulty of the course.
On the other hand, Dan raced in the Elite men for PMX Racing Team, and finished in a difficult 64th position.
